Community Hospital’s Birthplace Hosts Prenatal Yoga Classes

New Port Richey, Florida ( September 30, 2008) – The Birthplace at Community Hospital now offers regular classes in prenatal yoga every Monday evening from 7 pm to 8:15 pm at the Birthplace, 5637 Marine Parkway, New Port Richey, 34652. The sessions are provided by Sucharita Yoga. Registration is required; the fee is $50 for every four sessions. For more information and to register, call 727-834-5630.

The prenatal yoga classes provide an opportunity for expectant women to develop greater vitality and awareness of the body that is a home for two, as well as to deepen a mother’s relationship with her baby. Gentle postures, breath work, visualization, vocal toning and meditation are learned to cultivate flexibility, calm and confidence in preparation for labor and childbirth. Women are empowered to enhance their ability to access greater relaxation, comfort, and enjoyment. Calm and flexibility ease the birth process, thus reducing pain and increasing the joy of giving birth. With prenatal yoga, women can prepare for an active and natural birth.

The Birthplace at Community Hospital offers a wide range of educational services, and courses, and is the only maternity service in west Pasco. The Birthplace offers scheduled tours through the education program conducted by a Registered Nurse Educator.
